Ezdan Mall participates in Qatar International Food Festival 2017
Ezdan Mall, a subsidiary of Ezdan Holding Group, has participated in the 8th edition of Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) that took place from March 29th to April 8th at Hotel Park opposite Sheraton Grand Doha Hotel. Ezdan Mall pavilion attracted hundreds of visitors, and emphasized the Group’s keenness to effectively participate in the community’s most prominent entertainment and cultural events as well as festivals in Qatar.
Through its pavilion, Ezdan Mall has introduced various types of fresh produce cultivated in its outdoor garden in front of Ezdan Mall’s Gate 4, which is allocated to organic farming. The Mall Management and other governmental and private authorities have been working to realize such initiative, as part of the “Green Dream 2022” initiatives aiming at spreading awareness among the public about the most effective ways of preserving environment resources against pollution and damage, as well as building a culture of sustainable development.
In addition to the “Green Dream 2022” initiatives products, Ezdan Mall’s pavilion provides a variety of food and beverages from a wide range of regions most popular restaurants and cafés, as diverse as “Dairy Queen”, “Mado”, “Golden Dragon” and “Motee Mahal”.
On the participation of Ezdan Mall at QIFF, Mr. Malik Awan confirmed that the company was very keen to be part of this unique event, since it is an opportunity for Ezdan Mall to shed light on its endeavors in promoting environmental awareness through the “Green Dream 2022” initiatives, along with launching several interactive community initiatives, and participating in raising public awareness in regards to the importance of sustainable development.
Mr. Malik pointed out to the tremendous role of the events and activities involved in the “Green Dream 2022” initiatives in bringing together various organizations, embassies and other agencies, especially students, around interactive lectures and workshops, tackling environment protection issues and alternative agriculture means. These efforts are key elements in supporting the realization of Qatar National Vision 2030, since the implementation of environment development plans are an essential pillar to this vision, in addition to human, economic and social development.
The event, added Mr. Malik, is a great opportunity to support the local tourism, through attracting thousands of visitors from neighboring countries to showcase various aspects of the Qatari culture, where hospitality occupies a central position, in addition to promoting the most prominent commercial outlets, malls and hotels in Qatar.
It should be noted that Ezdan Mall’s Green Dream 2022 initiatives has won worldwide recognition under “Cause Related Marketing” category in November 2016, thanks to its efforts in promoting the “Green Dream 2022” project, as well as endorsing the culture of sustainability and environment protection. In addition to that, the Company has also notched two other awards, a golden award for the “Retail Professional of the Year 2016” and a silver award for “Retail Excellence in Customer Service” amid the “RECon Middle East and North Africa” conference held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Dubai UAE.
